Fluorescent and iridescent paints scan horribly, so this will do for the moment. I'm really dissapointed at how it scanned, but alas, theres not much I can do with a broken camera. I understand now why so many people are heading in the digital painting direction. Its very frustrating to show your work on-line and have it do very little to no justice on screen.

There are A LOT of details missing and I really don't think that the scan did a good job of showing the blending. It looks like a very dark piece, but in all actuality its very vibrant and bright.

I'll be selling the actual piece at TATE's for the small things show along with several prints of already existing work. If it doesnt sell there, it'll be up for grabs around here :)

Anyway. Before Supa Dupa Queef [link] came to full development, I was doodling this little guy. So I suppose that in a way, this is Queef's larval stage. Enjoy!

I get it, he's a hot sauce molecule ravaging someone's colon!

Good stuff. He's cute, though he does make me wonder if I'll have enough toilet paper.

I think is was the salsa verde that made me feel like I was shitting razor blades that colored my interpretation of the piece. I'm getting too old for the hot stuff, it seems.

digital work is finding its way to galleries as of recently! but yeah, its the opposite problem. printing doesn't give digital work any justice, and computer screens wash out traditional. what a dilemma.

thanks btw!

well.. of course there're aalways cases and exceptions... by example, you can make a digital work extraordinary with printing effects, like glossy plastic textures (dont know the name of that, but i'd seen it and is really cool), or if it is a vector, printing in gigantic sizes... etc.. the same with traditional, maybe the original artwork has no quality in the materials used, but once scanned and postworked with photoshop it could looks amazing..

anyway too much of blablabla already XD

you welcome =)
